As we move through this week, I’ve been sitting with a quote that keeps coming back to me:
“Faith doesn’t eliminate the unknown. It teaches you how to walk forward anyway.”
That feels especially fitting right now.
This week holds a lot of meaning. We pause to honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day, rooted right here in a town with deep civil rights history. We’re living in a time of change, firsts, and forward motion. It’s easy to feel pulled in a hundred directions or overwhelmed by the weight of it all.
But what I keep coming back to is this: staying steady matters.
Faith isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about choosing to move forward with intention even when the path isn’t fully lit. It’s about gratitude, about tending to what’s right in front of us, and about keeping our eyes on the work we’re called to do, not the noise around us.
This week’s reflections have all pointed back to the same truth. Show up where you’re planted. Stay grounded in your values. Be thoughtful with your energy. Give thanks for what’s already here while trusting what’s still unfolding.
There is so much good happening quietly. There is so much worth nurturing. And there is purpose in staying present, steady, and kind as we walk forward together.
